Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information METAPAD collects, why we collect it, and how it's stored and protected. It applies to our website, dashboard, and API.

1. Overview

We collect the minimum information needed to run your account, process jobs, and handle payments. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising. Most of our free tools never touch our servers at all — see below.

2. Free Tools

When you use our free browser tools (JSON Formatter, Base64 Encoder, URL Encoder, HTML/CSS/JS Formatters, SQL Formatter, Regex Tester, UUID Generator, and similar), everything you type or paste is processed entirely in your browser. It's never sent to our servers, and we never see or store it. You can use these tools without an account.

3. Information We Collect

When you create an account or use a paid tool, we collect:

  • Account details — username, email address, and your password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash, never in plain text).
  • Job data — the target URL, tool settings, and results (scraped data, extracted code, health check reports) for jobs you run, so you can view job history and download files later.
  • Payment records — deposit amounts, the payment provider used, and a transaction/invoice reference. We do not collect or store your full card or wallet details ourselves — those are handled directly by our payment providers.
  • Support messages — the subject, message, and any attachment you submit through a support ticket or the contact form.
  • API keys — keys you generate to authenticate API requests. We store the key itself, not a copy elsewhere.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above only to:

  • Run the jobs you submit and show you their status and results.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Process deposits and keep your balance accurate.
  • Send transactional emails — verification codes, password resets, job completion notices, and deposit confirmations.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Detect and prevent abuse of the Service, in line with our Terms of Service.

We don't use your account data for advertising, and we don't sell it to third parties.

5. Cookies & Session Data

We use a single technical session cookie to keep you logged into your dashboard. It doesn't track you across other websites, and we don't use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If you clear this cookie or log out, you'll need to log in again.

6. Payment Information

Deposits are processed through third-party payment providers. Depending on what's enabled, this may include crypto payment processing and card/bank payment processors. When you make a deposit, you're redirected to the provider's own secure payment page — we never see or store your full card number, crypto wallet private keys, or bank credentials. We only record that a deposit was made, its amount, and a reference ID so we can credit your balance and handle any disputes.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

To operate the Service, we rely on a small number of third-party providers, including:

  • Payment processors — to handle deposits, as described above.
  • Proxy network providers — traffic, scraping, and extraction jobs are routed through proxy infrastructure to reach target websites from the geolocation you select.
  • Email delivery — transactional emails (verification codes, reports, receipts) are sent via SMTP.

Each of these providers only receives the minimum data needed to perform their function and is not authorized to use it for their own purposes.

8. Data Storage & Retention

Job history, generated files (scrape results, extracted code archives, health check PDF reports), and support tickets are retained in your account so you can access them later. Generated files are stored in access-restricted directories that aren't publicly browsable. We keep account and job data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case of disputes or legal requirements.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including:

  • Passwords stored as one-way bcrypt hashes, never in plain text.
  • HTTPS enforced across the site and API.
  • File storage directories for job results and reports are access-restricted, not publicly listable.
  • API requests require a secret key tied to your account.

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data protected and will notify affected users if we become aware of a breach involving their data.

10. Your Rights & Choices

You can, at any time, by contacting support:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about your account.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate account information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to what we need to retain for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
  • Revoke or regenerate your API key at any time from your dashboard, without contacting support.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children, and account registration requires you to be at least 18, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact support and we'll remove it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above and, where practical, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

13. Contact Us

Questions about this Privacy Policy, or want to exercise any of the rights above? Reach out through Contact Support or from the Support tab in your dashboard once logged in.
