This Privacy Policy explains what information METAPAD collects, why we collect it, and how it's stored and protected. It applies to our website, dashboard, and API.
We collect the minimum information needed to run your account, process jobs, and handle payments. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising. Most of our free tools never touch our servers at all — see below.
When you use our free browser tools (JSON Formatter, Base64 Encoder, URL Encoder, HTML/CSS/JS Formatters, SQL Formatter, Regex Tester, UUID Generator, and similar), everything you type or paste is processed entirely in your browser. It's never sent to our servers, and we never see or store it. You can use these tools without an account.
When you create an account or use a paid tool, we collect:
We use the information above only to:
We don't use your account data for advertising, and we don't sell it to third parties.
Deposits are processed through third-party payment providers. Depending on what's enabled, this may include crypto payment processing and card/bank payment processors. When you make a deposit, you're redirected to the provider's own secure payment page — we never see or store your full card number, crypto wallet private keys, or bank credentials. We only record that a deposit was made, its amount, and a reference ID so we can credit your balance and handle any disputes.
To operate the Service, we rely on a small number of third-party providers, including:
Each of these providers only receives the minimum data needed to perform their function and is not authorized to use it for their own purposes.
Job history, generated files (scrape results, extracted code archives, health check PDF reports), and support tickets are retained in your account so you can access them later. Generated files are stored in access-restricted directories that aren't publicly browsable. We keep account and job data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case of disputes or legal requirements.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including:
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data protected and will notify affected users if we become aware of a breach involving their data.
You can, at any time, by contacting support:
The Service is not directed at children, and account registration requires you to be at least 18, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact support and we'll remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above and, where practical, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
